Lancaster Bus Trip ~ November 13, 2010
Our
March bus trip was such a success that we've planned an
all day adventure. At 8:15am, we'll head out to Hawk
Mountain Sanctuary in the Poconos, just west of
Allentown. Every single year, 20,000 hawks, falcons and
eagles migrate across this historic site from late
summer to fall. The eagles are expected this Saturday so
this will be an amazing event.
Around noon we'll reload the bus for lunch and roll to
Sight and Sound Theatre for a matinee performance of
Voices of Christmas. This unbelievable production is on
a gigantic stage, with live animals and a beautiful
musical score. This performance will be retired at the
end of this season, so you don't want to miss this!
Finally, we'll round out our tour at the Tanger Outlet
Center in Lancaster for some holiday shopping. Visit
over 60 stores including American Eagle, Bath & Body
Works, Eddie Bauer, Dress Barn, Le Gourmet Chef, Reebok,
Rockport, Clarks/Bostonian, Tommy Hilfiger, Yankee
Candle, and so much more. If you'd rather not
shop, you can enjoy a leisurely dinner in one of the
many restaurants in the immediate area.
The
bus will return to Wilkes-Barre by 9:30pm. The cost for
this excursion is a mere $74 for the bus, admission to
Hawk Mountain, a morning snack, lunch and show ticket.
Children's rates are considerably less. Call for
pricing. Please don't forget that this is a fundraiser
for our church, so once you've reserved your own ticket,
share this great trip with your friends and family.
