Unity has picked a theme for 2012 that Unity, A Center for Spiritual Living is embracing.  It is exciting to think about where we are going and what we are going to be doing as an organization in this new year.  2012 has been pointed to as a year of esoteric change and transformation.  There have been mystical thoughts about 2012 for centuries.  And here it is – right at our doorstep! What a wonderful opportunity to align and re-align ourselves with Spirit!  What theme has been chosen to go with this fantastic year – you ask?

2012 – Discover The Power Within You

Some of you might recognize that there is also a book by that title.  The book was written by Eric Butterworth back in the 60’s.  It is still a Great Book!  We have several copies available for purchase in our bookstore.  Eric’s focus is for us to work on practicing the religion of Jesus rather than the religion about Jesus.

Eric teaches that if we can find the consciousness of our spiritual unity with the Infinite and with other human beings, and if we can become established in the conviction of the Divinity of each individual, we will become intuitively guided and effective instruments for social and political action within the framework of your interests, abilities, and responsibilities.

So our focus this year is to discover/rediscover that powerful presence of the Christ that is within each and every one of us.
