Some of you
were here on April 11th when we offered to you a funny, fun, joy filled
service that we called “Holy Humor."
We want to do
this more often. July 4th will be our next “Creative Worship.” While
this one might not necessarily be humorous, with the 4th of July as a
Sunday and it being the anniversary of our nation’s independence the
theme for this service will be “Independence...” What will it look like
– you ask? That is yet to be seen. The Creative Worship Team will create
that for us. The team meetings are scheduled for the Second Sunday of
May and June. That is May 7th and June 14th. There may be more meetings
and rehearsals, but these two are in the calendar. Anyone and everyone
who would like to be part of this Creative Worship Team is invited to
come to the meetings and join in the fun of creation. If you cannot make
the meetings and want to be included, let us know and we will see what
role you might be able to fill.
Questions on the
Quest –Sunday June 13th
Back by popular demand. What is it you would like to know?
Bring your Spiritual questions with you to church on the 13th
and watch
Rev. Diane think on her feet to bring you the answers you have
been seeking. This is always a fun time for everyone!
Are You An Active Member?
Our Annual Membership meeting is coming up in March.
If you are not an active member of Unity Church and
would like to become one, Rev. Diane can coordinate
your New Member Orientation class. Call the church at 824-7722.
A member of Unity Church will
endeavor to live in accord with the Jesus Christ
principles of love and truth as taught by Unity and
further the work of this ministry through active
interest, love, and support.
All persons wishing to become Prayer Chaplains must
be active members of Unity Church. Anyone is welcome
to attend Unity Church, but we are a legal
not-for-profit corporation with bylaws that must be
followed. Membership is something that we encourage
for those who are willing to give their active
interest, time and support to this ministry.
At the Orientation session, Rev. Diane will go over
the specifics of what is involved in membership,
what our relationship is to the greater Unity
movement, what our bylaws state, and answer
questions that you might have about our
organization.
