OPPORTUNITIES
TO
GET INVOLVED!

Please bring a donation of non-perishable food for
Thanksgiving for people who live in a Senior high-rise
in Scranton, living on fixed incomes. Our prayer is
that we can bring cheer and good food to people who are
in need this holiday season. Please bring in your
donation to the box waiting in Harmony Hall. If you
can donate large baskets, please bring those as well. On
Sunday the 20th, we need an assembly team after service
to build these baskets of blessings.
You’ll also find two special Christmas trees here at
Unity. One is to be decorated with a growing collection
of hats, scarves and mittens for the children in the
“Women and Children” program at Misercordia University.
The second is our own “Giving Tree” for area Children
and Youth Service clients. You’ll find it decorated
with paper ornaments bearing the names of the children
and their wish items. Please leave the gift under the
tree by December 4th.

Are you REALLY needed? YOU BET YOU ARE! People like you,
volunteering your time, energy and talents are essential in
keeping this spiritual community alive, well and growing.
Volunteering keeps us feeling connected and fulfilled.
Volunteering also makes you feel more a part of our church
community as you get to know other members and take your
place in our church family! Call the office for more
information: We currently need people to serve in the following
areas.
However, if you have a special type of talent or skill that you
think might be helpful to us, please contact us and let us know
about that TOO! We can use all the help we can get!!

Our Youth Education department has ongoing opportunities
to help teach Unity to our growing youth programs
• Hospitality hosts and hostesses for after church on
Sundays
• Platform, Daily Word readers, and sound people for our
Sunday Services.
• Join our Music Team
• Volunteers to work out-of-doors in our yard
• Got a skit, script, or song idea? Creative Ministry is
always eager to produce what resonates with you most!
