Thank you to Our Adopt a Bill Participants Adopt a bill is a new concept that emerged from our recent membership meeting regarding the prosperity of Unity Center for Spiritual Living. A list of our monthly and "as needed" bills was prepared and members are asked to choose which one they would like to support. So far 8 members have pledged to pay a bill monthly! We are grateful for this response and still have a list from which to choose. Those bills that have not been adopted are as follows: Monthly Minister’s Health Insurance - As Needed Guest Speakers - $100.00 (local speaker) Want to adopt? The Wyoming Valley Interfaith Council Reading Group will be held January 9th and Feb. 6th, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Wilkes-King's Barnes & Noble Book Store, Public Square. The series "Twelve Steps to a Compassion Life" by Karen Armstrong is being discussed. The book is written as a 12-step manual. Focus for January is The Ninth Step: "Concern for Everybody"and will be facilitated by Andita Parker-Lloyd. February's focus, The Tenth Step: "Knowledge," will be facilitated by our own Carlton Quiller. Everyone is welcome, even if you haven't read the book. For additional information, please contact Rev. BePeace Foundations Course Unity of Sussex County, NJ will be hosting this East Coast training March 28-31, 2012. This 4 day course of lectures and small group work with reknown peacemaker, Rita Marie Johnson, empowers its participants to deepen their peace consciousness. Cost is $399 before 2/28.
